We are proud to partner with Circle Health Group—Britain’s leading independent healthcare provider—to recruit a dynamic and strategic Clinical Services Manager – Nursing for the Nursing department at Woodlands Hospital in Darlington.
Lead the nursing team to deliver evidence-based, compassionate care tailored to individual patient needs and the health of the wider community.
Maintain a visible clinical presence as a role model by working at least one clinical shift per week and offering expert guidance and support to staff.
Ensure nursing staff consistently plan, implement, and evaluate personalized patient care in strict alignment with professional standards and local policies.
Promote best practice, safeguarding standards, and multidisciplinary collaboration to support safe and effective clinical care delivery.
Oversee day-to-day clinical operations to guarantee safe staffing levels, optimal skill mix, and efficient patient flow.
Manage rotas, annual leave, and study leave effectively while ensuring compliance with labour management targets and nursing key performance indicators (KPIs).
Collaborate with the senior leadership team to support the execution of strategic and operational plans.
Drive the implementation of service developments and business improvement initiatives to enhance performance and patient experience.
Registration: Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid, active NMC registration.
Experience: Proven leadership background within a senior nursing or clinical management role (experience in private healthcare, acute hospitals, or multispecialty environments is highly desirable).
Knowledge & Skills: Deep understanding of clinical governance, patient safety frameworks, financial planning, budget management, and resource optimization. Strong data analysis abilities combined with top-tier communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
Qualifications: Relevant leadership or management qualification (e.g., ILM, MBA, PGCert).
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with electronic rostering systems and clinical documentation platforms, alongside experience in business development and clinical audits.
Competitive Salary: Up to £55,000.00 per year.
