Senior Theatre Practitioner – Scrub
Location: KIMS Hospital, Maidstone, Kent
Hours: Permanent, Full-Time – 40 hours per week (Working 4 days between Monday and Saturday, 07:30 – 18:00; approx. 1 Saturday per month)
Special Incentive: Joining bonus of up to £3,000 available (Terms and Conditions apply)
Salary: £36,267.00 – £48,000.00 per annum (dependent on experience)

We are currently recruiting a dedicated Senior Theatre Practitioner to join the multidisciplinary theatre team at KIMS Hospital, Kent’s largest independent hospital.

What You Will Do
Act as a lead scrub practitioner for general and orthopaedic surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient safety and clinical excellence.
Mentor junior members of the team, share your knowledge, and deputise for the Lead Theatre Practitioner when necessary.
Communicate effectively across departments (including Sterile Services, Wards, and Imaging) to coordinate smooth, efficient patient pathways.
Prepare operating and anaesthetic rooms for surgery, managing equipment and supplies efficiently to minimize waste.

What We Are Looking For
A registered healthcare professional (RN or ODP) with valid NMC or HCPC registration.
Proven post-registration clinical experience within the perioperative environment (scrub and anaesthetics) in an acute hospital setting.
Proficiency in managing and scheduling surgical lists, supervising staff, and leading teams.
Valid evidence of the right to work in the UK and a satisfactory DBS check.
