Location: Sanford House, East Dereham (NR19 2SD)
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Contract Type: Part-Time, 16 hours per week (Shifts include alternate weekends)
Are you creative, outgoing, and passionate about bringing joy and purpose to the lives of older adults? We are seeking a dedicated Wellbeing & Activities Coordinator to join the family at Sanford House, a 40-bedded nursing, dementia, and residential care home in East Dereham.
In this rewarding role, you will design, plan, and run an engaging calendar of social, physical, and creative activities that enrich our residents' daily lives and foster a strong sense of community.
Develop and deliver a diverse program of activities tailored to the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents.
Organize daily, weekly, and special events, including arts and crafts, music therapy, fitness classes, and social outings.
Foster a warm, inclusive atmosphere that encourages resident participation.
Work closely with care staff to understand individual resident preferences and life stories.
Coordinate with community groups, volunteers, and external entertainers to enhance the activities schedule.
Previous experience in an activities, wellbeing, or community role within a care setting is highly desirable.
A background in recreational therapy, social work, or a related field is a distinct advantage.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact.
