Position: Senior Care Assistant (Bank Contract, Part-Time / Flexible Shifts)
Location: The Bridles Care Home, Dykes Way, Wincanton, BA9 9FQ
Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour
Shift Pattern: Day shifts (7:30 AM – 7:30 PM) or Night shifts (7:30 PM – 7:30 AX/7:30 PM)

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is partnering with Bupa to recruit an experienced and driven Senior Care Assistant for a bank contract at The Bridles Care Home in Wincanton.

As a Senior Care Assistant, you play a pivotal leadership role—not only guiding a team of Care Assistants to deliver exceptional personal care, but also inspiring, developing, and nurturing them every day. Key Responsibilities:
Taking day-to-day (or shift-to-shift) responsibility for running a dedicated care unit.
Assisting with clinical duties, including supporting nurses with observations, medication administration, care plan reviews, and accurate record-keeping.
Leading, managing, and driving a team of Care Assistants, including conducting thorough shift handovers.
Helping with the training, onboarding, and supervision of new staff members.
Building strong relationships with residents, their families, and external professionals such as GPs and District Nurses.
Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties.
Completed or actively working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Care (full company support provided to help you complete your qualification if needed).
Motivation, positivity, and exceptional interpersonal skills to lead a close-knit team.
Previous experience in a senior care role, with a strong understanding of its unique rewards and challenges.
