About the Role
Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to represent our client, Branston, in hiring an experienced Production Team Leader for their Southwest site in Ilminster.
In this vital leadership role, you will oversee day-to-day production operations within their fresh potato factory. With exciting new automation recently integrated as part of their continuous improvement plans, you will need to be adaptable, proactive, and ready to lead your team through a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Consistent Leadership: Deliver strong, reliable leadership across shifts while acting as a role model for Branston's core HWDB values.
Production Planning: Coordinate daily manufacturing operations to maximize output efficiency and ensure customer order targets are successfully met.
Employee Relations & Engagement: Partner with HR to handle people matters fairly and consistently in line with policy, while actively motivating the team to perform at their best.
Health & Safety Champion: Lead by example on H&S compliance, ensuring safe working practices are strictly followed by everyone and taking immediate action when standards slip.
Operational Compliance: Ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) are consistently followed and that all work areas fully comply with GMP audit standards.
What We Are Looking For
Proven experience leading or supervising a production team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment (food manufacturing background highly desirable).
Strong capability in planning, organizing workflows, and driving operational efficiency.
Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record in employee engagement and team motivation.
