• Hours: Full-Time, Permanent (Day Shifts, scheduled on a rota basis over a 7-day week)

• Location: Monread Lodge Nursing Home, Knebworth (SG3 6HG)

• Qualifications: NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care is essential (with a commitment to complete Level 3 upon starting).

Your Role: What You’ll Do

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will lead by example, supporting residents' physical, psychological, and social needs while mentoring and guiding your care team on shift.

• Provide compassionate care: Assist residents with daily living activities, personal hygiene, dressing, and meals with ultimate dignity and respect.

• Lead the team: Act as a role model on shift, helping to organize tasks, manage schedules, and support junior care staff.

• Nurture wellbeing: Build deep, trusting relationships with residents, learning their unique stories to provide highly personalized, person-centered care.

• Maintain high standards: Ensure care plans are accurately updated and followed, fostering a safe and welcoming environment.

What We Are Looking For

This is a senior role requiring proven experience within a care home setting and a natural knack for leadership.

• Essential Experience: Proven track record working as a Senior Care Assistant in a Care Home environment.

• Required Qualifications: You must already hold your Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care and be willing to complete your Level 3 (fully supported by the company) if you do not already have it.

• Leadership Skills: Experience leading a team, coordinating shifts, and motivating others.

• Strong Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with families, colleagues, and external healthcare professionals.

• Eligible to Work: Must have the right to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance of Knebworth (SG3 6HG).
