In this full-time nursery leadership role based in Colchester, UK, you will work 40 hours per week taking overall operational responsibility for the Baby Room (children aged 3 to 24 months). Following Ofsted guidelines and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, you will lead room staff, act as a keyworker to meet individual child needs, implement engaging curiosity-based activities, and build strong partnerships with parents in Colchester, UK.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily operations and staff performance in the Baby Room, upholding high standards of early childhood care and safety in Colchester, UK.
Implement the EYFS framework and design engaging, wellbeing-focused learning activities tailored to infants aged 3 to 24 months in Colchester, UK.
Act as a keyworker for assigned children, providing regular developmental updates and fostering strong relationships with parents and families in Colchester, UK.
Requirements
Level 3 Childcare Qualification (NVQ Level 3, NNEB, BTEC Nat Dip, CACHE Dip, or SVQ equivalent) in Colchester, UK.
Minimum 2 years of experience leading a nursery room, specifically working with early years developmental stages in Colchester, UK.
Strong passion for child development, team leadership, and parent engagement within an Ofsted-registered setting in Colchester, UK.
