Location: Cotman House, Felixstowe (IP11 7PU)

Pay Rate: £13.46 per hour

Contract Type: Full-Time, 40 hours per week (Night shifts from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, including alternate weekends)

About the Role

Are you an experienced night care professional looking to step up, lead by example, and provide reassuring support when our residents need it most? We are seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join the family at Cotman House, a 62-bedded nursing, dementia, and residential care home in Felixstowe.

In this vital night leadership role, you will champion person-centred care, mentor night-time team members, administer medications, and ensure every resident feels safe, valued, and comfortable through the night hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exemplary, person-centred care and support during night shifts.

• Assist residents with daily living needs, personal care, and mobility as required.

• Administer medications accurately and maintain thorough, up-to-date care records.

• Mentor, support, and guide junior care staff to uphold the highest standards of safety and care.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and families to support individual care plans.

• Build warm, reassuring relationships with residents and their loved ones.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or in a similar supervisory role within a residential or nursing setting.

• Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).

• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• A genuine passion for night-time care, empowering others, and providing exceptional support.
