Are you an experienced, results-driven retail leader looking for your next big challenge? Morrisons is seeking a high-performing Operations Manager to join their store team in Kirkstall, Leeds. In this crucial deputy-to-store-manager role, you will ensure store operations run smoothly, driving commercial performance, high store standards, safe compliance, and an inclusive, engaged team culture.
Deputise for the Store Manager and create an inclusive environment where all managers and colleagues feel valued.
Accountable for the end-to-end process of all store operations, ensuring proper resource planning and routines.
Drive high store standards, product availability, and exceptional customer service delivery.
Ensure strict compliance with safe and legal food standards across all departments.
Continuously identify, mentor, and develop talent to build a strong leadership pipeline.
Build coaching capability within the management team and partner with the People Manager to champion positive change.
Contribute commercial insights to the annual store plan to maximize performance and sales targets.
To succeed in this vital leadership role, you will need:
Proven retail industry experience managing a large customer-facing, high-turnover operation (over £150k turnover per week).
Strong leadership skills with the capacity to actively listen, inspire, and respond.
Excellent coaching abilities, providing clear feedback and establishing common ways of working.
A passion for driving talent and building collaborative, trusting team cultures.
The adaptability to challenge effectively and resolve operational obstacles across the store.
