Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of Supportive Bridge Limited for an attentive and safety-focused Lifeguard to join their fitness team at Birmingham Central Gym in Birmingham, UK.

In this vital role, you will ensure the safety and wellbeing of members and visitors using wet-side facilities, including the swimming pool, spa, sauna, and steam room. Working 16 hours per week, you will maintain constant vigilance, uphold pool safety guidelines, and deliver friendly, professional customer service.

Role Description

As a Lifeguard, you will supervise wet-side areas to prevent accidents, enforce pool safety rules, and respond swiftly to any emergencies or incidents. You will maintain up-to-date ongoing training records, perform safety and water environment checks, and foster a welcoming, supportive atmosphere for all club members.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise wet-side facilities (swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and spa), remaining alert and attentive at all times.

• Enforce Pool Safety Guidelines and emergency procedures, responding immediately to any incidents or hazards.

• Welcome members, assist with general inquiries, and maintain a safe, clean, and pleasant environment.

Requirements

• Valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent qualification.

• Up-to-date ongoing competency training records.

• Excellent concentration, strong communication skills, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
