• Location: Based out of Werrington Lodge Care Home (Baron Court, Peterborough, PE4 7ZF) with regional travel covering Peterborough, Cambridge, Luton, Hitchin, and Spalding.

• Pay Rate: £19.00 per hour + mileage / travel costs

• Job Type: Permanent / Full-Time (40.00 hours per week, Day Shifts with alternate weekends)

About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Barchester Healthcare to recruit a talented and versatile Peripatetic Chef to support our care homes across the region.

In this exciting permanent role, you will travel across multiple homes (including locations in Peterborough, Cambridge, Luton, Hitchin, and Spalding) to support different kitchen teams and deliver high-quality, fresh food. Key Responsibilities

• Travel to various Barchester care homes to support kitchen operations and food service standards.

• Prepare and cook high-quality meals using fresh, seasonal produce.

• Apply a good understanding of nutrition to create balanced, appetizing menus.

• Engage confidently with residents to tailor dining experiences to their preferences.

• Provide strong kitchen management, maintain up-to-date food hygiene, and ensure smooth service delivery across different locations.

About You

• Qualified Chef holding NVQs/SVQs or City & Guilds equivalent.

• Up-to-date food hygiene certification.

• Experience working with fresh, seasonal ingredients and understanding nutritional needs.

• Strong kitchen management skills combined with a personable, warm approach.

• Passionate about resident wellbeing with the flexibility and willingness to travel regionally.
