We are proud to partner with Circle Health Group—Britain’s leading independent healthcare provider—to recruit a flexible and experienced Clinical Pharmacist (Bank) for the Pharmacy Department at Kings Park Hospital in Stirling.
Conduct comprehensive medication reviews for inpatients and outpatients, identifying drug interactions, contraindications, and opportunities for medicines optimization.
Provide tailored, patient-focused advice regarding treatment plans, potential side effects, treatment compliance, and lifestyle considerations.
Support safe prescribing practices through accurate medication reconciliation, clinical screening, and appropriate dose adjustments.
Review and authorize prescriptions in strict line with clinical guidelines, formulary restrictions, and regulatory requirements.
Promote safe and cost-effective medicine usage by supporting adherence to local and national policies.
Collaborate closely with procurement, stock control, and pharmacy technicians to ensure continuous medicine availability and supply chain continuity.
Monitor, record, and report medication incidents, near misses, and adverse drug reactions in line with hospital protocols and MHRA guidance.
Supplement core staffing levels during busy operational periods and provide essential cover during staff absences or annual leave.
Qualifications: Degree in Pharmacy (MPharm, BSc, or BPharm).
Registration: Current, valid GPhC registration as a Pharmacist.
Experience: Previous hands-on experience working in a clinical hospital pharmacy environment.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of therapeutics, clinical guidelines, and pharmaceutical legislation.
Skills: Excellent communication, autonomous working capability, and sound clinical decision-making skills within a multidisciplinary team.
Technical Proficiency: Confidence utilizing electronic prescribing and medication administration systems (such as EPMA).
Competitive Hourly Rate: Up to £28.00 per hour.
