About the Role

As a Second Chef, you will have the chance to deliver hotel and restaurant culinary standards without exhausting split shifts and long weeks. You will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome, and well-balanced menus, collaborating directly with residents to tailor meals around their preferences. What You Need to Have
A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in residents' wellbeing.
City & Guilds / NVQ / SVQ or equivalent culinary qualifications.
A good understanding of nutrition and experience working with fresh, seasonal food.
The ability to create a warm, welcoming, and fun environment.
Confidence engaging with residents to create appetising and nutritious menus.
A solid understanding of HACCP guidelines.
What You Need to Do
Manage and oversee the kitchen effectively in the Head Chef’s absence.
Assist the Head Chef with menu development and person-centred hospitality.
Work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality, wholesome dishes cooked to the highest standards.
Work within budget, complete regular audits, and manage comprehensive stock control.
