We are currently recruiting on behalf of Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd—the UK’s leading provider of community equipment services to the NHS and local authorities—as they look for an experienced Customer Service Supervisor to lead their team in Dukinfield.
As the Customer Service Supervisor, you will provide exceptional day-to-day leadership to the customer service team, ensuring the department operates at peak efficiency to deliver a first-class experience for both internal and external stakeholders.
This is a strategic and operational role where you will coordinate workflows, streamline depot processes, and maintain strong lines of communication with healthcare professionals like Occupational Therapists and District Nurses to keep community support running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, guide, and support the customer service team to ensure top-tier department performance.
Collaborate with other departments to minimize technician delays at depots and maximize available delivery time.
Oversee the day-to-day distribution of workload and investigate all non-compliances.
Maintain a professional, friendly, and efficient telephone manner when liaising with healthcare professionals regarding technical, product, and client needs.
Ensure all customer service procedures and email communications align with the Medequip Way.
Utilize advanced IT skills for fast, accurate database entry and record management.
Work strategically alongside the operational team, focusing on short- and medium-term business objectives.
You are a proactive, organized leader who shares Medequip’s core values of integrity, empathy, teamwork, and excellence.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a public, healthcare, or service-based industry role.
Skills: Comprehensive knowledge and proficiency across all MS Office packages, with strong IT and administrative capabilities.
Personal Qualities: Excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to lead a team while managing high-pressure situations with a calm, positive attitude.
