Role Overview
As a Shift Electrician, you will provide critical electrical maintenance, repairs, and fault-finding on plant equipment to minimize production downtime. You will also contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of existing plant equipment and automated electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on plant machinery.
Prioritize maintenance tasks efficiently based on live production requirements.
Work with 3-phase motors, variable speed drives, PLCs, LV/MV switchgear instrumentation, and automated production systems.
Read and interpret complex electrical schematics and technical documents.
Key Requirements:
Essential: Minimum apprentice time-served in an electrical discipline, including an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
Proven experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of servo motors, PLCs, and variable speed drivers.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
