Location: Bedford Distribution Centre

Pay Rate: £15.10 per hour

Contract Type: Full-Time Contract (48-hour contract)

Shift Pattern: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday (19:00 - 07:00 / Nights)

About the Role

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are thrilled to partner with B&M to help you secure a vital role as a Distribution Centre Security Officer in Bedford. In this night-shift position, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding people, assets, and operations while maintaining high security standards across a busy distribution hub.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Access & Logistics: Manage and control all site access, and book vehicles smoothly in and out.

• Security & Monitoring: Conduct regular internal and external patrols, vehicle and colleague searches, and daily or weekly audits.

• Incident Response: Respond quickly to security incidents and write accurate, timely incident reports.

• Operations: Handle physical security duties as required while working closely with an experienced team.

Requirements & Ideal Candidate Profile

• Experience: Previous background in a similar security role.

• Core Skills: Strong written communication skills, confidence using Microsoft Excel, and a solid understanding of Data Protection, Health & Safety.

• Professional Attributes: Proven experience in conflict management, incident reporting, and a resilient, professional approach to challenging situations.

• Licensing: An SIA Licence is desirable, though not essential.
