In this full-time senior clinical leadership role based in Colchester, UK, you will oversee orthopaedic theatre operations, manage surgical lists, and ensure seamless delivery of high-quality patient care. Working 37.5 hours per week, you will deputize for the Clinical Head of Department, lead multidisciplinary teams, drive clinical risk management and audits, and ensure optimal equipment and list planning across theatre suites in Colchester, UK.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily orthopaedic theatre lists, manage surgical equipment and booking forms, and deputize for the Clinical Head of Department as needed in Colchester, UK.
Provide clinical leadership and support across theatre suites, including Anaesthetics, Recovery, Endoscopy, and general surgical specialties in Colchester, UK.
Drive clinical risk management, governance, quality audits, and policy enforcement to maintain outstanding safety and patient experience in Colchester, UK.
Requirements
Active registration as a Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC) with post-registration surgical/anaesthetics qualification in Colchester, UK.
Substantial orthopaedic theatre experience with demonstrated surgical knowledge, equipment management skills, and SFA/SCP experience in Colchester, UK.
Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a commitment to continuous quality improvement in Colchester, UK.
