In this part-time fixed-term role (covering maternity leave) based in Colchester, UK, you will work 30 hours per week guiding the clinical, surgical, and endoscopy teams. You will ensure the smooth operation of theatre lists across multiple specialties (Endoscopy, General, Orthopedics, Gynaecology), enforce clinical governance, manage equipment audits, and promote continuous patient safety in Colchester, UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and coordinate surgical and endoscopy theatre lists, ensuring smooth departmental workflow and session management in Colchester, UK.

• Work flexibly across theatre suites, overseeing clinical risk management, quality governance, and adherence to safety policies in Colchester, UK.

• Audit surgical equipment, manage specialized department resources, and drive continuous clinical service improvements in Colchester, UK.

Requirements

• Mandatory active registration with the NMC (as a Registered Nurse) or HCPC (as an Operating Department Practitioner) in Colchester, UK.

• Extensive post-registration experience in surgery, endoscopy, or anesthetics with proven clinical leadership capabilities in Colchester, UK.

• Deep knowledge of surgical techniques, equipment management, clinical risk governance, and audit procedures in Colchester, UK.
