• Qualifications: NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care is essential (with a willingness to complete Level 3 upon appointment).

Your Role: What You’ll Do

As a Senior Care Assistant at Kings Manor, you will coordinate shift tasks, mentor junior carers, and advocate for our residents' physical, psychological, and social wellbeing.

• Dignified Personal Support: Gently assist residents with personal hygiene, dressing, and enjoying meals, ensuring comfort and independence.

• Effective Shift Leadership: Take a lead role on shift to organize tasks, manage rotas, and guide care assistants to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.

• Person-Centred Focus: Dive into residents' unique life stories, helping tailor care plans to celebrate their individuality.

• Lively Engagement: Champion choice, companionship, and social interaction, making a positive difference in residents' lives.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking organized, kind care professionals who thrive under pressure and have a natural gift for leading others.

• Essential Experience: Proven track record of working as a Senior Care Assistant or Senior Care Giver within a Care Home environment.

• Required Qualification: You must already hold your Level 2 in Health and Social Care (and be prepared to complete Level 3 with our full support if you do not already have it).

• Key Skills: Leadership experience, great organizational abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Rota Flexibility: Ready to work flexible day and night shifts across a 7-day rota, including weekends.

• Eligibility: Must have the right to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance of Ottery St Mary (EX11 1FQ).
