Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with elite defence and security providers to connect diligent, professional security personnel with high-impact careers. We are currently recruiting a dedicated Security Guard to join the Serco Defence Skynet team at MOC Hawthorn in Corsham.
In this vital role, you will act as the first line of defence on the prestigious Skynet 5 contract, protecting secure satellite communication services that support the UK Government and Armed Forces. Your work ensures a safe, controlled environment where critical national defence services can operate safely.
What You’ll Do
As a Security Guard, your responsibilities will include:
Site Protection: Act as the first line of defence, carrying out regular patrols and escort duties across the site.
Access Control & Search: Conduct thorough vehicle and baggage searches, process visitors, and manage secure entry control systems.
Monitoring & Systems: Monitor and operate CCTV and Intruder Detection Systems (IDS).
Key Management: Issue and manage keys securely in line with strict protocols.
Documentation: Complete precise report writing, maintain clear records, and coordinate effectively with security personnel and external agencies.
What We Are Looking For
Licensing: Hold a valid SIA licence and a valid full manual driving licence (SIA training and licence costs may be provided for the right candidate).
Security Clearance: The ability to achieve and maintain formal Security Clearance (BPSS and SC/CTC vetting apply).
Skills & Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent timekeeping, customer service skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, and a proactive attitude.
Desirable: Previous experience working within a secure government environment or holding a First Aid certification.
Vetting and Checks
Due to the secure nature of this defence environment, candidates must successfully obtain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance and formal Security Clearance (SC/CTC), subject to UK residency requirements. An Occupational Health Questionnaire will also be completed.
