On behalf of our client, Barchester Healthcare, we are currently recruiting a dedicated Care Assistant (Nights) to join the permanent care team at Cepen Lodge Care Home in Chippenham.

About the Role
As a Night Care Assistant, you will play an essential role in providing overnight care, safety, and comfort to residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met attentively throughout the night.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Overnight Personal Care: Assisting residents with bedtime routines, night-time checks, mobility support, and personal care according to tailored care plans.
Nutritional & Hydration Support: Assisting residents with late evening or early morning food and beverage requirements.
Companionship & Reassurance: Providing a calm, comforting presence and dedicated one-to-one time for residents waking during the night.
Night Team Collaboration: Working alongside night senior staff and care colleagues to ensure a peaceful, safe, and spotless care environment.
About You
We are seeking a warm, dependable, and empathetic individual with a passion for supporting older adults and a commitment to night-shift work.
Key Requirements:
Experience: Prior experience caring for older adults in a residential, nursing, or care home setting.
Shift Availability: Fully committed and available to work 12-hour night shifts (8:00 PM to 8:00 AM).
Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal warmth.
Personal Attributes: A positive "can-do" attitude, patience, and a high standard of personal compassion.
