On behalf of our client, Barchester Healthcare, we are currently recruiting a dedicated Regional Peripatetic Senior Carer to support three care homes across the local Chippenham region.

If you are an experienced care professional holding an NVQ Level 2 or higher who enjoys variety, leading teams, and travelling between local care settings with paid mileage, this full-time permanent position offers an ideal opportunity to expand your supervisory experience and clinical skills.

About the Role

As a Regional Peripatetic Senior Carer working 36 hours per week, you will travel across three designated regional care homes to provide leadership, support staff, and maintain outstanding person-centred care standards wherever you are deployed.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Multi-Site Leadership: Leading and inspiring care staff across regional homes, introducing positive workplace practices, and stepping in where support is needed most.

• Clinical & Practical Tasks: Carrying out essential care duties and introductory clinical tasks, such as monitoring vital signs (including blood pressure).

• Care Planning & Compliance: Assisting with care plan reviews, risk assessments, and ensuring strict compliance with regulatory policies and clinical strategies.

• Flexible Coverage: Working a dynamic schedule covering day or night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays as regional needs dictate.

About You

We are seeking a flexible, compassionate, and motivated care professional with strong team leadership capabilities and the ability to adapt seamlessly to different care home environments.

Key Requirements & Qualifications:

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), with a commitment to continuous personal and clinical development.

• Licence & Mobility: Full UK Driving Licence and access to a reliable vehicle to travel between the 3 regional homes (mileage paid per mile).

• Experience: Proven experience delivering care to older adults, with strong skills in care planning, monitoring, and risk assessments.

• Attributes: Excellent communication, strong physical stamina for long shifts, and a flexible, dedicated team player mindset.
