Pay Rate: £13.08 per hour

Contract Type: Full-Time, 40 hours per week (Shifts include alternate weekends)

About the Role

Are you an organized, hands-on leader with a passion for creating pristine, welcoming environments? We are seeking a dedicated Head Housekeeper to lead the team at Cotman House, a 62-bedded dementia and residential care home in Felixstowe.

In this leadership role, you will oversee all housekeeping operations, mentor and support your team, and ensure our home remains spotless, safe, and comfortable, giving our residents the high-quality living environment they deserve.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department.

• Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules, protocols, and audits to meet health and safety standards.

• Lead, mentor, and inspire the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional service.

• Manage stock levels, inventory, and supply ordering.

• Build warm, positive relationships with residents and colleagues, contributing to a family-like atmosphere.

• Promptly report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate teams.

• Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory or leadership role, preferably within a healthcare or residential setting.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach.
