Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our trusted partners for a dedicated Group Therapist to join an established Therapeutic Community team.
Based at HMP Dovegate, you will play an integral role in delivering high-quality group psychotherapy within a multi-disciplinary environment. Your expertise will help individuals with complex mental health needs (including personality disorders) to better understand themselves, build healthier relationships, and drive meaningful behavioural change to support rehabilitation and reduce re-offending.
Group Psychotherapy Delivery: Facilitate structured group therapy sessions for community members with complex mental health needs and personality disorders.
Therapeutic Programme Integration: Contribute fully to the therapeutic community model, actively engaging across the community timetable.
Assessments & Formulations: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, create clinical formulations, and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
Supervision & Mentorship: Provide professional supervision and support to colleagues to champion continuous learning and best practice.
Risk & Report Management: Manage clinical risk effectively, contributing robust assessments and reports that aid rehabilitation and risk reduction.
Service Development: Support ongoing service development, clinical audits, and research initiatives to drive innovation and better outcomes.
Professional Accreditation: Accredited as a Psychotherapist or Group Analyst with the UKCP, BACP, BPC, or an equivalent recognised professional body.
Relevant Experience: Practical background (or strong potential) working within forensic, custodial, or complex mental health settings.
Clinical Skills: Strong clinical assessment and formulation capabilities, with the autonomy to manage complex cases.
Collaboration & Communication: Exceptional communication skills and the confidence to operate seamlessly within a multi-disciplinary team.
Vetting Requirements: This role requires an Enhanced DBS check and completion of an Occupational Health Questionnaire.
Holidays: Starts at 23 days plus bank holidays, increasing to 25 days with tenure.
