About the Role
We are acting on behalf of Alliance Medical Ltd—Europe's leading independent provider of imaging services—to recruit an experienced MRI Radiographer to join their dedicated team at Colchester General Hospital.
In this role, you will work alongside senior radiographers, assistant practitioners, healthcare assistants, and administrative staff to produce high-quality diagnostic images while delivering an exceptional standard of patient and customer care. Key Responsibilities
Clinical Imaging: Perform a broad range of routine MRI examinations in strict accordance with clinical protocols, safety procedures, and quality standards.
Patient Care: Deliver a patient-centred, compassionate service that ensures individuals feel safe, informed, and supported throughout their imaging journey.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a busy multidisciplinary team, communicating clearly with patients, colleagues, and referrers.
Safety & Operations: Adhere to rigorous safety standards, manage time and workflows efficiently, and undertake clinical procedures such as IV cannulation (training provided where required).
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
Registration: Current, valid registration with the UK Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Experience: Around 1 to 2 years of MRI experience, with proven capability in performing routine examinations independently. (Note: The role is well-suited for radiographers looking to build on existing foundational knowledge).
Skills & Competencies: Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and good IT literacy with experience using digital imaging systems.
Attributes: A flexible, proactive, and collaborative approach, coupled with a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding clinical outcomes.
Desirable Criteria
Existing IV cannulation competencies.
