In this full-time clinical specialist role based in Colchester, UK, you will work 37.5 hours per week leading the oncology and haemato-oncology pharmacy service while supporting elective surgical wards and dispensary operations. You will verify and screen SACT treatment regimens, deliver patient-facing medication counseling, train pharmacy colleagues, and maintain strict adherence to NICE, BOPA, and national clinical standards in Colchester, UK.
Key Responsibilities
Act as site lead oncology pharmacist, verifying SACT prescriptions, maintaining pharmaceutical care plans, and ordering treatments in Colchester, UK.
Provide clinical pharmacy services across oncology and surgical wards, including medicines reconciliation, patient counseling, and discharge planning in Colchester, UK.
Train and mentor pharmacy staff in oncology competencies while collaborating with regional clinical leads to optimize protocols in Colchester, UK.
Requirements
Essential registration as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) in Colchester, UK.
Minimum 3 to 4 years post-qualification experience, with demonstrated expertise in screening/verifying SACT and oncology regimens in Colchester, UK.
Completion of BOPA passport to Level 2a minimum, alongside outstanding clinical communication and leadership abilities in Colchester, UK.
