Location: Felbridge Manor Care Home, Turners Hill Road, Copthorne, RH10 3EP
Pay Rate: £17.50 per hour
Hours: 40.00 hours per week

About the Role
As a Second Chef, you will deliver hotel and restaurant-standard dining without the grueling hours and split shifts. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will craft nutritious, flavoursome, and well-balanced menus tailored directly around resident preferences, ensuring person-centred hospitality at its finest.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the kitchen effectively in the Head Chef’s absence and assist with menu development.
Prepare wholesome, high-quality dishes using fresh, seasonal produce.
Maintain strict standards regarding HACCP, stock control, budgeting, and regular kitchen audits.
Engage directly with residents to tailor menus and foster a warm, efficient, and fun dining environment.
About You
To join us as a Second Chef, you will bring:
Qualifications: City & Guilds / NVQ / SVQ or equivalent culinary certification.
Knowledge: A solid understanding of nutrition, HACCP, and working with fresh, seasonal food.
Personality: A warm, personable approach, confidence engaging with residents, and a genuine passion for high-quality hospitality and wellbeing.
