About the Role
As a Unit Nurse Manager, you will take full ownership of your unit, planning, managing, and monitoring the delivery of person-centred nursing care to meet residents' complex health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Unit Leadership: Oversee unit operations, manage staff rotas, and lead recruitment, training, and mentoring for the team.
Clinical Care Management: Develop, evaluate, and monitor detailed person-centred care plans and clinical risk assessments.
Mentorship: Serve as a clinical mentor, supporting nursing colleagues and guiding newly qualified nurses through their preceptorship.
External Liaison: Build and maintain strong professional relationships with local regulators, social services, GPs, and multidisciplinary teams.
About You
We are looking for a dedicated and ambitious Registered Nurse with strong leadership qualities and proven clinical expertise.
Requirements:
Registration: Registered General Nurse (RGN) with an active NMC PIN.
Clinical Knowledge: Strong understanding of current clinical practices and regulatory frameworks, including DoLS/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines.
Leadership Track Record: Proven experience leading a team, producing detailed care plans, and implementing quality care improvements.
