Key Responsibilities
Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing food and performing basic cooking tasks across various kitchen sections (such as vegetables, fish, meat, and sauces), typically on a six-month rotation programme.
Support all chefs in managing and delivering exceptional catering services throughout the village, ensuring resident choice, dignity, confidentiality, and safety.
Participate in meetings with residents and Heads of Departments to discuss catering functions and cater to special needs, dietary requirements, and cultural or religious preferences.
Prepare nutritional food, beverages, and specialized diet meals to a high standard, as directed by the chefs, promptly and in accordance with agreed mealtimes.
Person Specification & Requirements
Qualifications: Must hold a recognized catering qualification (such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2, NVQ, or equivalent) alongside a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of hands-on catering experience.

Compliance: Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required (cost met by Avery Healthcare) alongside proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
