We are currently recruiting on behalf of Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd—the UK’s leading provider of community equipment services to the NHS and local authorities—as they look for an enthusiastic Warehouse and Cleaning Apprentice to join their team at the Brighouse Depot.
About the Role
As a Warehouse and Cleaning Apprentice, you will support the efficient day-to-day operation of the warehouse while working towards a recognized vocational qualification. You will maintain high standards of stock management, housekeeping, and equipment cleaning, ensuring that critical medical and community equipment is prepped and safe for service users.
This role combines hands-on warehouse duties, workshop support, and structured learning through the Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete the Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship successfully, maintaining an apprenticeship logbook.
Learn and develop a wide range of warehouse skills, stock management, and operational processes.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping throughout the warehouse, workshop, and specialist areas.
Assist in constructing, modifying, or cleaning community equipment and keeping workshop tools in good working order.
Work independently and collaboratively as a dependable team member, following health and safety requirements at all times.
About You
You are a motivated individual with a professional manner, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn and grow within the healthcare and logistics sector.
Essential Qualities: Smart, professional appearance, excellent verbal communication, empathy, patience, IT literacy, and physical capability for manual handling/heavy lifting.
Desirable Criteria: GCSE standard in Maths/English (Grade C/4 or equivalent), prior experience in a customer or service environment, and a UK driving licence.
Right to Work: Candidates must possess the full, satisfactory right to work in the UK (this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship).
