Job Title: Head Housekeeper
Location: Richmond Village Willaston, 261 Crewe Road, Nantwich, CW5 6GX
Rate of Pay / Salary: £22,708.80 per annum & Excellent Benefits
Contract Type: Permanent, 32 hours per week (Shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, covering 4 days out of 7 per week on a rota including weekends)
About the Role
We are partnering with Richmond Village Willaston—a luxury retirement community providing an aspirational lifestyle and first-class accommodation—to find a dedicated and organized Head Housekeeper. In this role, you will ensure all areas of the village are kept clean, tidy, and presentable, contributing directly to the comfort, safety, and wellbeing of residents, guests, and staff.
As a Head Housekeeper through Supportive Bridge, you will lead the housekeeping team to maintain exceptional standards, manage resources efficiently, and coordinate closely with sales and management teams to ensure every arrival and function is prioritized.
Key Responsibilities
Allocate cleaning areas fairly among housekeepers and monitor the quality of work to ensure pristine standards.
Maintain regular cleaning schedules, including spring and deep-cleaning routines, carry out audits, and perform weekly stock takes.
Manage housekeeping resources efficiently, keeping waste to a minimum and ensuring supplies are well-stocked.
Act as the point of contact by carrying the housekeeping DECT phone, answering calls promptly, and taking appropriate action.
Train new staff in line with company policies and procedures, and ensure safe equipment operation and storage.
Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms, communal spaces, and staff areas while adhering strictly to Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines.
What We Are Looking For
Previous experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role with a strong understanding of high cleaning standards and safety requirements.
Advantageous: Experience managing a team, using commercial cleaning equipment and substances, or working within a care environment.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with a keen eye for quality and pride in your work.
Excellent communication skills, a flexible approach, and a sensitive, caring attitude towards the needs of others.
