About the Role
We are recruiting a detail-oriented and reliable Housekeeper on a permanent basis on behalf of Wellesley Hospital in Wellington, Somerset, a purpose-built 101-bed hospital supporting men and women with mental health needs, learning disabilities, and autism.
Working Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, you will play an integral role in creating a safe, spotless, and welcoming environment. You will be responsible for cleaning all areas of the service—including wards, office spaces, bedrooms, and visitor areas—while working closely with the maintenance team, maintaining security standards, and greeting visitors with professional telephone and interpersonal etiquette.
What You Will Need
Experience: Previous professional experience in cleaning or housekeeping within a similar care, healthcare, or residential environment.
Attributes: Great attention to detail, high standards of cleanliness, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and solve problems efficiently.
Proximity & Attitude: A compassionate, professional approach toward vulnerable individuals, and ideally living within a manageable commute of Wellington, Somerset (TA21 9FF).
