Salary: £39,378.00 per annum

Hours: 40.00 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Shift Pattern: Day Shifts (Working days and alternate weekends only, across 4 or 5 days a week)

Your Experience and Qualifications

To join us as a Head Chef, you will need:

• A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in residents' wellbeing.

• City & Guilds / NVQ / SVQ or equivalent culinary qualifications.

• Experience in leading, motivating, and inspiring a kitchen team.

• Experience working with fresh, seasonal food and a solid understanding of nutrition.

• Confidence engaging directly with residents to create appetising menus.

• A good understanding of HACCP, COSHH, and the IDDSI framework for modified diets (training provided if new to care).

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop your kitchen and front-of-house team.

• Drive menu development, tailoring meals around residents to ensure person-centred hospitality.

• Work with fresh produce to bake fresh cakes, scones, and breads from scratch, delivering wholesome dishes of the highest standard.

• Manage budgets, complete regular audits, and oversee stock control.

• Oversee recruitment, retention, and performance management.
