In this full-time senior practitioner role based in Colchester, UK, you will work 40 hours per week leading a small nursery team. You will oversee full-day and sessional care for children aged 3 months to 5 years, align activities with developmental frameworks, maintain strong relationships with parents and carers, and uphold strict safeguarding and regulatory compliance in Colchester, UK.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a small nursery team, ensuring high standards of early years care, learning, and play in Colchester, UK.
Deliver full-day, sessional, and pre-school care tailored to the individual development and wellbeing of children aged 3 months to 5 years in Colchester, UK.
Maintain clear communication with parents and professionals while implementing current childcare legislation, safety protocols, and safeguarding procedures in Colchester, UK.
Requirements
Mandatory NVQ Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years (or equivalent qualification) in Colchester, UK.
Proven experience working within a nursery setting with demonstrated team leadership capabilities in Colchester, UK.
In-depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, safeguarding policies, and child development principles in Colchester, UK.
