Supportive Bridge is recruiting 2 experienced and dedicated Senior Support Workers to join our team in County Durham. You will provide high-quality, person-centred support across specialised care settings, leading by example and supporting individuals to live fulfilling, independent lives.
We are actively recruiting for shifts across the following service framework lots:
Lot 1: Learning Disability Standard Care
Lot 2: Learning Disability Enhanced Care
Lot 4: Mental Health Enhanced Care
Provide compassionate, high-standard support to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex mental health needs.
Handle challenging situations calmly and professionally, implementing positive behaviour support strategies.
Lead shifts when required, assisting with care planning, risk assessments, and daily task management.
Administer medication accurately and maintain clear, accurate care logs and incident reports.
Support service users with daily living activities, community access, personal care, and emotional well-being.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and external healthcare professionals.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Support Worker, with proven experience in senior or leading roles within Learning Disability or Mental Health care settings.
Qualifications: NVQ / RQF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) preferred.
Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
Training: Up-to-date mandatory care training (PMVA / MAPA / Physical Intervention training is highly desirable for Enhanced Care lots).
Compliance: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to undergo a check) and full proof of right to work in the UK.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible shift patterns, including days, nights, and weekends.
