Position: Senior Housekeeper
Location: Shockerwick House Care Home, Lower Shockerwick, Bath, BA1 7LL (Note: Due to the home's location, having your own transport is required)

Salary: £13.40 to £14.40 per hour (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent | Full-Time (32 hours over 4 shifts per week; working days are negotiable)

The Role
As a Senior Housekeeper, you will ensure that every corner of our historic care home sparkles, leading a dedicated domestic team and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness throughout the home, working closely with the maintenance and management teams.
Lead by example by performing hands-on duties such as vacuuming, mopping, polishing, and keeping communal areas and resident bedrooms immaculate.
Supervise housekeeping and laundry assistants, manage staff rotas, handle required training, and ensure domestic supplies are properly stocked.
Build approachable, caring relationships with residents while fostering a clean, safe, and welcoming community environment.
What We Are Looking For
Previous experience in a housekeeping or domestic role, with a strong commitment to high standards and an organised environment.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate a team as well as work independently and prioritise tasks.
An approachable, caring nature and a genuine enjoyment of interacting with residents and colleagues.
Note: Please be aware that this role is not at or above RQF Level 3 and is ineligible for sponsorship under the UK's Points-Based Immigration System.
