The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be crucial to the smooth daily running of the home. You won't just deliver high-quality, person-centred care to our residents—you will also lead, inspire, and develop a team of Care Assistants to be their best every day. You will receive comprehensive training on Bupa's new digital care systems, empowering you to focus on clinical excellence, relationship-building, and exceptional resident support.
Key Responsibilities:
Take day-to-day responsibility for running a unit.
Handle medication administration, care plan reviews, and accurate record-keeping.
Lead and manage a team of Care Assistants, including conducting shift handovers.
Assist with the training, mentoring, and supervision of new staff members so they feel welcomed and supported.
Build strong, positive relationships with residents, their families, and external professionals such as GPs and District Nurses.
Assist residents with a range of personal care duties and ensure their independence and dignity are honoured.
What We Are Looking For
Completed or actively working towards an NVQ Level 3 in care (full support provided if you are still working towards it).
Highly motivated, positive nature with great interpersonal and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively within a close-knit team and provide crucial support with compliance and standards.
Previous experience in a senior care role alongside a genuine passion for making a real difference in people's lives.
