Role Overview

As an Engineering Technician, you will provide routine and specialized engineering maintenance, ensure rapid breakdown support, and guarantee the prompt completion of planned, reactive, and specialist sub-contract work orders. You will serve as a technical expert, maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence across the hospital site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete planned preventative maintenance, reactive responses, and remedial work orders promptly.

• Deliver technical, health, safety, and environmental support while acting as an exemplar of company policies.

• Provide training, mentoring, and hands-on assistance to site-based technicians and engineering assistants.

• Offer professional engineering advice to local hospital managers.

• Cultivate a "can-do" culture based on open integrity and high engineering standards.

Candidate Requirements

To thrive in this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Qualifications: Time-served apprenticeship in a mechanical or electrical biased discipline, alongside a City & Guilds Part 3, ONC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent.

• Certifications: Current CSCS card at the appropriate level (or current ECS card if electrically qualified).

• Flexibility: Willingness to act as an Authorised Person (AP) and Responsible Person (RP) for Medical Gases (Medgas) as required.

• Knowledge Base: Comprehensive understanding of Health & Safety guidelines, statutes, ACOPs, and L8 Legionella ACOP within hospital buildings.
