Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of Supportive Bridge Limited for a reliable and customer-focused 7.5T Driver to join their Hospital Sterile Services Unit (HSSU) team in Tiverton, UK.

In this essential logistics role, you will safely collect and transport sterile and disinfected surgical equipment to a network of local hospitals. Working 37.5 hours per week on flexible shift patterns between 04:00 and 21:00 (Monday to Friday, with varying Saturday hours), you will serve as the key point of contact for hospital customers.

Role Description

As an HSSU Driver, you will handle the transportation and delivery of critical surgical instruments using rigid vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes GVW. You will ensure vehicle upkeep, manage delivery documentation and digital tachograph records, and handle manual equipment transport trolleys to maintain seamless healthcare supply workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Timely collection and delivery of sterile surgical equipment across the local hospital network.

• Maintain digital tachograph records, logbook documentation, and driver hour legislation compliance.

• Perform basic vehicle defect checks, keep delivery vans in good order, and safely handle heavy transport trolleys (250kg+).

Requirements

• Full UK driving license with C1 entitlement (permitting rigid vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes GVW) and a digital tachograph card.

• Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification is advantageous, though training is available.

• Physical capability to manage heavy manual handling (moving transport trolleys) with a basic understanding of driver hours legislation.
