About the Role
Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Branston to recruit an experienced Quality Assurance Team Leader for their site in Ilminster.
In this vital operational role, you will support the day-to-day running of the Technical department. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will ensure that packed stock meets rigorous specifications, collaborate closely with production management to optimize efficiency without compromising product quality, and help drive continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Quality & Specification Control: Ensure packed stock meets required standards and partner with the Production Team to maximize packing efficiency without sacrificing quality.
Out-of-Specification Management: Take immediate, appropriate action in conjunction with Production Management should any out-of-spec products arise.
Audit Preparation & Management: Assist with site preparation for internal and external audits, manage the site GMP audit system, and actively participate as a member of the internal auditing team.
Reporting & KPIs: Assist with the accurate weekly recording of necessary KPI information.
Departmental Cover: Provide operational support in the absence of the QA Operational Manager, ensuring team performance and seamless handling of QA functions, including managing holiday and sickness cover.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute proactively to CI projects designed to drive site performance forward.
Skills & Experience Required
Previous practical experience working within a food manufacturing environment.
Excellent communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Previous experience in a team leadership or supervisory role is highly desirable.
Relevant qualifications in Food Safety, HACCP, or internal auditing are advantageous.
Adaptable and resilient approach to handle a fast-paced, ever-changing workload.
