We are seeking dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Supported Living Support Workers to join our growing care team across County Durham.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality support to adults with learning disabilities, complex health needs, and mental health diagnoses living in supported living settings.
Implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans and proactive strategies to manage and de-escalate behaviours that challenge.
Assist individuals with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, and household budgeting.
Encourage community inclusion, hobbies, education, and social activities.
Maintain accurate, real-time care logs and incident reports via our digital care app.
Participate in 24/7 rota cover, including days, nights, weekends, and sleep-ins where required.
Requirements & Experience
Experience: Minimum 6–12 months of experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs, particularly those presenting with challenging behaviour.
Qualifications: NVQ / RQF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care is highly desirable.
Training: Valid certification in physical intervention / de-escalation training (e.g., MAPA, PROACT-SCIPr, or equivalent) is preferred, though refresher training will be provided.
Attributes: Strong communication skills, patience, emotional resilience, and a non-judgmental attitude.
Checks: Enhanced DBS check (preferably registered on the Update Service) and full employment reference history.
Driving: A valid UK driving license with access to a vehicle is a distinct advantage.
