About the Role
In this role, you will lead and deliver small to medium-sized projects or work packages, ensuring successful outcomes aligned with strict customer requirements. You will coordinate project management activities, analyze data to support informed decision-making, manage control accounts, and lead a high-performing team of up to 10 professionals to achieve vital milestones.
Core Duties:
Take full accountability for team budgets, performance, delivery outcomes, and project objectives.
Apply and promote effective project management practices, tailoring processes appropriately.
Adapt plans, priorities, and resources dynamically to handle operational challenges and risks.
Lead Life Cycle Management (LCM) activities, including governance reviews and stakeholder coordination.
Champion a positive safety culture by maintaining high health, safety, and environmental compliance standards.
Lead, coach, and develop a small team, providing day-to-day direction and performance feedback.
What We Are Looking For (Essential Skills & Qualifications):
Project Management Expertise: Strong background in methodologies, governance, tools, and best practices.
Problem Solving: A proven ability to navigate complex project challenges and make well-informed decisions.
Communication & Influence: Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to influence effectively.
Commercial Awareness: Sound commercial, financial, and business acumen within complex project delivery environments.
Qualifications: Degree-qualified, professionally qualified, or able to demonstrate equivalent practical experience.
Accreditation: Professional project management accreditation (e.g., APM, PMI) or relevant experience, with the capability to undertake LCM Assessor responsibilities.
Security Note: Due to the nature of defense technology, all applicants must achieve at least a Baseline Personnel Security Standard, with many roles requiring higher National Security Vetting (typically requiring 5 to 10 years of continuous UK residency).
