Role Overview
Operating at a Senior Engineer level and reporting into the Programme Lead, you will provide day-to-day technical guidance and project coordination for engineering teams. You will assist in managing scope, schedules, budgets, and risks while helping develop team members through coaching, feedback, and mentoring in a fast-paced environment.
Core Duties
Lead the day-to-day delivery and performance of assigned projects, contracts, suppliers, and work packages safely and efficiently.
Plan, coordinate, and oversee the work of engineers and technical specialists to meet quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
Provide engineering leadership within a specialist discipline, supporting technical solutions and assessing technical feasibility.
Support team member development and performance through coaching, training, and feedback.
Apply an analytical mindset to interpret financial and programme performance data to support informed decision-making.
Essential Skills & Requirements
Project Experience: Proven background managing project risks, costs, budgets, schedules, resource utilization, and stakeholder relationships.
Planning & Coordination: Strong project coordination and planning skills with an analytical approach to financial and programme data.
Governance Knowledge: Solid understanding of project management governance and lifecycle management processes.
Professional Status: Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent status, or actively working towards Chartership, is highly desirable.
Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams in complex project environments.
Security Clearance: Must achieve a minimum of Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
