As a Bid Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and securing some of the organisation's most strategic business opportunities. Working within a highly collaborative team supporting both long-term strategic campaigns and fast-paced competitive bids, this permanent position offers an extraordinary platform to lead bid phase governance, manage multi-disciplined teams, and expand your career across diverse markets.
Role Overview
Working on a hybrid basis from BroadOak, Portsmouth, you will support the Capture Leader by taking ownership of the Bid Management Plan for assigned pursuits. You will drive robust governance, ensure compliance, oversee schedules and reviews, and coordinate cost and pricing strategies to meet winning price targets.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
Bid Lifecycle Management: Lead all aspects of planning and executing the overall bid cycle and governance plan for assigned pursuits, defining and tailoring suitable bid processes.
Planning & Scheduling: Generate and secure approval for realistic Bid Plans and Schedules, effectively managing resources, budgets, responsibilities, and task allocations.
Team Leadership: Lead multi-disciplined bid teams on a day-to-day basis, keeping stakeholders apprised of requirements and status developments across multiple organisations.
Governance & Approvals: Manage business approval processes at all required delegated authority levels, supporting necessary security and export approvals.
Costing & Pricing: Coordinate costing and pricing activities, acting as an independent challenger to keep the team focused on meeting the price-to-win.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Qualified to Degree standard or equivalent.
Project / Bid Experience: Practical work experience accompanied by proven bid management and project management skills, ideally within a complex procurement environment.
Competitive Bidding: Proven experience supporting RFIs, ITT/ITN, RFP/RFQ, or framework bids within a competitive setting.
Working Arrangement: Hybrid working model based out of BroadOak, Portsmouth (2–3 days on-site per week).
Security Clearance: All applicants must achieve, as a minimum, the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Note: Due to security and export control restrictions, candidates must meet national identity, birthplace, and residency criteria (typically requiring continuous UK residency of 5 to 10 years for higher-level national security vetting).
