Join the multidisciplinary team at Rhodes Wood Hospital in Hatfield, a specialist inpatient eating disorder service for children and young people aged 8-18 years, where teamwork and compassionate care are at the heart of everything we do.

What You Will Be Doing

• Manage a complex caseload, taking responsibility for social care assessments, risk assessments, group activities, and contributing to ICR meetings to help service users build viable plans for their future.

• Report to the Safeguarding Lead, managing internal investigations and handling referrals to the LADO and Local Authority in line with safeguarding procedures.

• Educate hospital staff on relevant safeguarding matters and complete full annual social care reassessments within the CPA format.

• Facilitate access to welfare rights, housing, advocacy services, and associated support, while liaising with home authorities during admission and discharge processes.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Hold a recognized Social Work degree.

• Previous social work experience within a similar healthcare or social care environment.

• Experience working with vulnerable individuals and a solid understanding of safeguarding and social care frameworks.

Rhodes Wood Hospital on Shepherds Way in Hatfield, Hertfordshire (AL9 6NN) is a specialist inpatient eating disorder service for children and young people aged 8-18. Featuring en-suite bedrooms and an on-site Ofsted-registered school, the service focuses holistically on the mental, emotional, educational, and physical wellbeing of every young person.
