Salary: £34,308 - £36,089 per annum (Based on 2 sleep-ins per week; includes £50 extra per sleep-in)
Contract Type: Full-Time, averaging 39 hours per week (typically includes 2 to 3 overnight sleep-ins per week)
Could you be someone who connects with a child and changes their life? We are seeking a dedicated Residential Team Leader to join our unique solo placement home in Weymouth, Dorset, catering for children aged 5 to 17 upon admission.
In this highly fulfilling leadership role, you will have a rare opportunity to provide focused, individualized care within a calm, nurturing home environment. You will guide our young person through healthy routines, support their schooling, attend appointments, and help reduce challenging behaviors by teaching positive coping mechanisms. As a Team Leader, you will also support the management team in mentoring newer staff members, participating in supervision, and driving career development.
Provide warm, structured residential care tailored to a solo placement setting, helping the young person build healthy routines and navigate daily life.
Support the child with their education, appointments, household tasks, and personal development.
Create positive memories through fun, laughter, and therapeutic care, addressing the impacts of trauma and parental rejection.
Update electronic records accurately and maintain a safe, well-parented home environment.
Support the leadership team in coaching staff, participating in supervision, and fostering professional growth.
Essential Qualification: You must hold a QCF Level 3 (or Level 4) Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce / Residential Child Care.
A commitment to achieving your Level 4 diploma in Children and Young People and engaging in ongoing professional development.
Strong communication, IT, and written skills, with the ability to remain calm in crisis situations and work both individually and as part of a team.
A Full UK Driving Licence and the Right to Work in the UK.
