As a Senior Care Assistant at Edingley Lodge Care Home, you will look after the diverse needs of our residents to ensure the delivery of top-quality, person-centred care. Your role will involve supervising and motivating a dedicated team of Care Assistants alongside the Deputy General Manager. You will also provide vital support to the clinical team in areas such as medication administration, assessments, care plans, and care reviews—all while championing resident dignity and helping create a warm, vibrant home environment.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Supervise, inspire, and guide a dedicated team of Care Assistants.
Clinical Support: Assist the clinical team with medication management, care assessments, care plans, and care reviews.
Person-Centred Care: Safeguard the dignity, preferences, and individual well-being of every resident.
Environment: Help foster a warm, welcoming, and vibrant atmosphere for residents, visitors, and staff.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
Knowledge: Specific knowledge of clinical care for the elderly.
Personality: Warm-hearted, compassionate, and dedicated to providing individualised support.
Skills: Strong motivational, communication, and leadership abilities, with a keen drive for career progression into roles such as Care Practitioner, Regional Carer, or nursing.
