Key Responsibilities
Ensure the building and grounds are exceptionally well maintained by undertaking routine maintenance tasks, service checks, and basic fixes to equipment and systems.
Carry out general maintenance tasks and basic repairs—spanning electrical, plumbing, joinery, and building work—both inside and outside the home.
Support new residents in arranging their rooms just as they wish and ensure routine re-decoration is completed to maintain the home's high aesthetic standards.
Advise on the supply and quality of items used for tasks, managing the timely and appropriate ordering of replacement goods.
Provide an out-of-hours emergency service by participating in the on-call rota.
Person Specification & Requirements
Experience & Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a general maintenance or handyperson role, and/or a professional qualification in a trade.
Core Skills & Knowledge: Solid knowledge of Health and Safety regulations (particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments), alongside flexibility to handle various responsibilities at short notice.
Licensing: Must hold a full driving licence.
