Salary: £110,000 per annum FTE (Pro-rata for part-time)
Contract Type: Permanent (3+ positions available)
Working Pattern: Full-time or Part-time (40 hours per week full-time equivalent; covering shift patterns between 10:00 AM and 10:30 PM, Monday to Sunday)

We are acting on behalf of Partnering Health Ltd (PHL Group)—a premier, clinician-led provider of integrated urgent and primary care services across the UK—to recruit multiple dedicated General Practitioners for a brand-new, newly mobilised clinical service based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Birmingham.
In this exciting multidisciplinary role, you will provide expert clinical assessment, diagnosis, and medical leadership across diverse patient demographics and healthcare needs. Working collaboratively with clinical leads and multidisciplinary teams, you will make timely management decisions, maintain robust clinical governance, and deliver exceptional, patient-centred care in a fast-paced environment.
1. Clinical Delivery & Leadership
Provide clinical assessment, accurate diagnosis, and timely management decisions for patients presenting with varying levels of healthcare needs.
Offer medical leadership, acting as a specialist resource to healthcare staff, patients, and carers while promoting health education and self-management.
Maintain comprehensive, accurate clinical records using computer-based systems in compliance with professional codes and coding standards.
2. Clinical Governance & Multi-Agency Liaison
Work collaboratively with the Clinical Lead and wider team to embed effective clinical governance into daily practice.
Liaise with external agencies, health services, and community partners to raise awareness of the service and ensure seamless patient pathways.
Essential Criteria
Qualifications & Registration: Qualified Medical Doctor with GP accreditation (MRCGP examination or equivalent); current full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and the NHS Performers List (with no conditions or restrictions on practice).
Experience: Proven clinical experience working within an urgent care environment (such as A&E, walk-in centres, or acute primary care settings).
Competencies: Strong leadership qualities, sound knowledge of clinical governance, evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and the ability to maintain high standards of autonomous and collaborative care.
Vetting: Must successfully pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and possess current UK professional registration.
