About the Role

Lead advanced electronic hardware design, repair, obsolescence, and sustainment initiatives for critical Underwater Systems! As a staffing partner, Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to recruit for this pivotal Senior Electronics Engineer position on behalf of BAE Systems.

In this senior role, you will champion technology insertion programmes, develop complex component-level analogue and power electronic designs, provide technical guidance to colleagues, and collaborate across disciplines to drive electro-mechanical integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Technology Insertion: Lead existing electronic designs and technology insertion programmes, driving fault diagnosis, rectification, and obsolescence activities.

• Assembly Development: Oversee the design and development of electronic assemblies from requirements through detailed design, testing, integration, and release into service.

• Advanced Analogue & Power Design: Develop complex component-level analogue, mixed-signal, and power electronic designs (including high-power/high-voltage techniques), utilizing tools like Cadence.

• Verification & Compliance: Perform and support design verification and testing, covering EMC/EMI, E3, product regulatory requirements, and communication protocols.

• Technical Guidance & Collaboration: Provide technical mentorship to colleagues during design reviews and problem-solving, while partnering with Mechanical, ILS, Safety, and Production teams.

What We Are Looking For

• Educational Background: HND or Degree in Electronic Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• CAD Proficiency: Proven experience generating component-level electronic designs using electronic CAD tools, specifically Cadence.

• Core Technical Skills: Extensive complex analogue and mixed-signal design experience (low-noise, high-reliability techniques) alongside power electronics capabilities.

• Desirable Experience: Prior background or knowledge in sonar electronics, RF, signal processing, or FPGA/CPLD design.
